ð³Forest Work Day: Building Firewood Racks & Collecting Campfire Materialsð³
詳现
ïŒEnglish/æ¥æ¬èªïŒ
Would you like to escape the crowds, come to a peaceful town surrounded by mountains, and move your body together with us in a beautiful forest? âš
About one hour from Ikebukuro in Tokyo, we are currently working on a project to restore a neglected forest in Ogawamachi, Saitama, and create a comfortable and welcoming space ð³
We have almost completed a treehouse-style wooden deck, and are now working on things such as building bamboo handrails, making racks for storing firewood, organizing the area, and collecting firewood and materials for campfires.
The tasks are varied and not strictly fixed, and everyone can find something they feel comfortable helping with.
No special skills are required, and people who are not used to outdoor work are very welcome too. Since some tasks involve carrying materials, extra helping hands are greatly appreciated.
Working in the forest is great exercise, and the work area at the top is sunny and very relaxing. We may also enjoy a BBQ in nature together ð
This event is perfect for people who are interested in nature or the environment, who want to move their bodies outdoors, who are curious about forest volunteer activities, or who simply want to meet other nature-loving people. Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to join us ð

ãAbout This Forest Projectã
More than 70 percent of Japanâs land area is covered by forests, but many of them are no longer used and are becoming increasingly neglected.
When forests are left unmanaged, people stop entering them, and problems such as illegal dumping of industrial waste and garbage can occur. In some cases, the land is sold to solar panel companies and completely cleared.
Forests that were once used for firewood, compost, and building materials have gradually lost their value as they have been replaced by fossil fuels, chemical fertilizers, and imported materials.
Since the COVID period, we have been gradually working to restore and care for this forest.
Our goal is to revive it as a place with new value that fits modern life, and to manage and maintain it in a sustainable way. We also hope to create a forest where people can relax, escape the stresses of modern society, and connect with others.
So far, we have held many events while continuing to improve and care for the forest.

Letâs enjoy nature together while taking part in this forest restoration project with fellow nature lovers!
We look forward to seeing you there! ð
