Writing Poetry (3): Transformation of Language

Whether you're an experienced poet or writing your very first poem, you're welcome to the 3rd poetry meeting of the InterArts Workshop.

Transformation is one of the most important skills in poetry, the process by which a poem transforms an idea into another through the possibilities of language. Transformation can occur in many forms: an image may mutate, an emotion may shift, perception may evolve, a narrative may turn, and the very speaker may change during the process.

In this session, we will explore some of the most common types of poetic transformation and practice them through writing exercises. The emphasis is on experimentation rather than perfection. This is a supportive workshop where everyone is encouraged to try ideas, share their work, and learn from one another.
