What can we learn from nostalgia?

Have you ever found yourself longing for the past? Nostalgia can bring comfort and warmth but it can also shape how we see the present and the future.

Why do we feel nostalgic? Is it simply about remembering happy moments, or does it reveal something deeper about our values and desires? Can nostalgia help us grow, or does it keep us stuck in the past?

So, what can we really learn from nostalgia?

This week at IQ Cafe, our speaker will introduce different perspectives on nostalgia and share their own reflections. After a short talk, we’ll break into small discussion groups where you’re invited to explore your own experiences and ideas in a relaxed, open, and respectful environment.

🕒 Schedule:
8:00-8:20 - Listen to a bilingual lecture on the night's topic while enjoying snacks and coffee
8:20-9:00 - Discussion in small groups
Afterwards - Stick around and hang out with new friends!

We think it's a shame how many people go through life without reflecting on things that matter. It’s important to take the time to think about the difficult questions in life. It can be easy to live your life and just go through the motions.

The presentations at IQ Cafe are always bilingual because we want you to be able to practice Japanese and English! For the discussion time, there are tables with English and Japanese available. Let's practice language together!
