Tokyo Non–Fiction Late Mornings — Theme–Free

詳細
Note: This is a late morning edition of Tokyo Non-Fiction Mornings, not the regular early morning meetup.
Fuel your mind while you fuel up on coffee (and a Mont Blanc, if you're in the mood for an autumnal chestnut dessert).
Once or twice a month in Western Tokyo, we gather on a weekend morning to share what we've been reading—no assigned books, no pressure. Just real reads and real caffeine (non-caffeinated drinks are welcome too).
Each participant gets 6–15 minutes (depending on the group size) to talk about a non-fiction book, followed by a couple of quick questions or comments before we move on to the next.

Getting to Cafe de Ginza Miyuki Kan (カフェド 銀座みゆき館) from Kichijoji Station:
(It takes 1 minute if you know where it is, but can feel like forever if you don’t.)
Check the map below first and look for Cafe de Ginza Miyuki Kan on the left-hand side.
Note: The name is slightly misspelled on the map, but don’t let that throw you off.

Step-by-Step Directions:
- Exit via the Central Gate (中央改札): If you're using JR, try to exit through the Central Gate. The South (Park) and West Gates are also possible, but they can be a bit confusing if you're unfamiliar with the station. If you're coming from the Keio Line, head toward the North Exit.
- Head to the North Exit (北口): Don’t go past the North Exit. Walk toward it—atré connects directly to the station. The South (Park) Exit also works, but is trickier to navigate.
*Go to the 1st Floor: JR ticket gates are on the 2nd floor, and the Keio Line gates are on the 3rd floor. Make your way down to the 1st floor. - Enter atré: Look for a glass-door entrance to atré on the first floor, 15 to 30 feet away from the North Exit. The building doesn't have many large signs, but the glass doors have tiny white letters that say "atré," which might help you identify it.
- Navigate to Basement Level 1: Take the escalator or stairs down. You can use the floor map (linked above) or find one on-site—information boards with maps are located throughout the building. Cafe de Ginza Miyuki Kan (カフェド 銀座みゆき館) is shop number B012 in the Second City (2番街) area. If you're unsure, feel free to ask a staff member—they’re usually happy to help.
