[canceled ] [1Day][Cycling] Ring Ring Road

Canceling because of lack of interest from group members.

About the Ring Ring Cycling Road:

• Ring Ring Road in Ibaraki is one of Japan's 6 National cycling routes (Others include Shimanami Kaido, Biwa Lake…). Though the complete route is much longer we will do Mt. Tsukuba section which is between Tsuchiura and Iwase station.
• One-way is 40KM long and round trip will be 80km

Difficulty:

• Beginner, I think most people will be able to do it. As it's flat with almost no slope, and can be easily done within 6 hours.

Rough Schedule:
I will be going by car and take upto 6 people and 4 bicycles ( road or cross bike upto 13kg)

• 06:00 Machida station
• Or 08:30 at Tsuchiura station
• Cycle up to Iwase station 40 Km and return
• Have lunch somewhere in the middle of Tsuchiura and Iwase
• 16:00: Return back to Tsuchiura station
• Dinner (Optional)
• 21:00 Back to Machida

About Bicycles:

• I have reserved 8 cross bikes (2000 Yen) and 1 road bike (2500Yen).
• Road or cross bikes with multiple gears are recommended
• You can bring own bike by train
• There are many option for bike rentals for example:

Participation fee:

• Option 1 : 7000 Yen Includes Transportation from Machida to Tsuchiura and back + Bicycle Rentals + Organizing fee
• Option 2 : 5000 Yen Includes Transportation from Machida to Tsuchiura and back + Organizing fee (bring or rent own bicycle)
• Option 3: 3500 Yen : Bicycle Rentals + Organizing fee (come to Tsuchiura at your own)
• Option 4: 1000 Yen : Organizing fee (bring or rent bicycle and come you Tsuchiura at your own)
• Students get 50% discount
• Add 500 Yen in case of Road bicycle
• Advance payment is required if you would like to join from Machida by car or get one of the bike I have reserved

To join this trip:

• Must have 1 day sports insurance.

Deadline for confirmation: 2023-10-06 , if there are less than 4 people by this date event will be cancelled

• Bicycle
• Helmet
• Sportswear and sport shoes
• Small backpack
• Lunch, snacks, water ...

• Participation fee is non-refundable once paid, unless there is a substitute
• In case event get canceled due to bad weather or there are less than 4 participants, participation fee will be refunded, minus if there is any cancelation fee incurred for bicycles
