If you are looking for an event where you can meet and socialize with people from all over the world, look no further! Board games provide a wonderful backdrop for conversation and create a welcoming atmosphere to get to know each other.

In our very own JELLY JELLY CAFE, surround yourself with smiles, games, drinks, and snacks, and hang out with friends, old or new, while having a fun evening!

No prior board game experience? No problem! The event is hosted by native English game masters who will guide you through the simple and fun games played during the event. Featuring a good mix of cooperative and competitive games with easy rules, this event is perfect for board game beginners and veterans alike.

About the venue

Hosted in our bright and cheerful Ikebukuro cafe, home to over 750 different board games! Enjoy some drinks, bring your own snacks, and participate in the event as long as you'd like. Feel free to break off to grab food, play your own board games, or just catch some fresh air at any point throughout the evening. You don't have to stay for the full
duration of the event.

This event is for people who want to have fun with board games, make new friends, and practice their English!

Event Overview

We will have multiple tables dedicated to the event. At the start of the evening, while members are arriving, we will set you up with a name tag and a drink from our menu. Our game master will briefly introduce some suggested games, and groups will form depending on what games everyone wants to play.

Throughout the evening, new games will be introduced and taught; feel free to switch tables and games at the conclusion of each of your games.

The entry price includes access to the event and one free drink.
Attendees can extend their stay till closing time once the event is finished.

Game List

For this event, we will focus on games with a high degree of language independence - meaning games that don’t use any language as a central play component. Once you know the rules, you’ll be able to play together without the need for understanding any additional text. Below are some examples of the games we’ll play during the event:

ボードゲームを遊んだことがない？大丈夫です！ネイティブのゲームマスターが、簡単で楽しいゲームをご紹介します。簡単なルールで、協力ゲームと対戦ゲームが遊べるこのイベントは、ボードゲーム初心者にもベテランにもおすすめです。池袋にある、750種類以上のボードゲームを揃えたカフェで開催します！飲み物を飲んだり、お菓子を持ち込んだり、好きなようにイベントに参加してください。お食事やボードゲームを楽しんだり、合間に一服したり、ご自由にお過ごしください。イベント期間中ずっと座っている必要はありません。

ボードゲームを楽しみたい方、新しい友達を作りたい方、英語の練習をしたい方のためのイベントです！イベント専用のテーブルを複数用意します。開始時間になると、メンバーが到着するまでの間に、名札とメニューの中からお飲み物をご用意します。ゲームマスターがお勧めのゲームをかるくご紹介し、皆さんの遊びたいゲームによってグループを作ります。
各ゲームが終了したら、テーブルやゲームの交換を自由にしていただきます。

入場料にはイベントへの入場とフリードリンク1杯が含まれる。
イベント終了後は閉館時間まで滞在を延長できる。
