📝 Even if the number of RSVP'd participants looks small on Meetup, don't worry!
We also accept sign-ups through Instagram and Threads. Each time, we have had a great mix of people from different backgrounds, so feel free to join us!

Participation Fee
💡 For a limited time, we offer a discounted price of 1,100 yen for non-Japanese participants, as many Japanese attendees are eager to speak with people from other countries.

• 1,650 yen for Japanese participants

The fee includes all-you-can-drink coffee, tea, or soft drinks and the facility usage fee.
Please pay at the venue (FOYER ALMA) on the day.

Message from the Organizer 🌸
This time, since the hot days are continuing, we wanted to do something refreshing and also give all participants a chance to experience Japanese culture. So, we came up with a plan to make and enjoy kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) together while chatting. 🍧
I am always happy to meet new people and see familiar faces returning. The guests at LanCafé tend to be kind, easygoing, and open-minded, and I feel this community is gradually growing into something really warm and special.
I used to love visiting English conversation cafés, but after returning to my hometown in the Shonan and Yokohama area, I couldn't find a casual and welcoming one. So I thought, why not create one myself?
LanCafé is for anyone looking for a relaxed and encouraging space. Whether you have attended a conversation meetup before and felt like an outsider, or felt nervous speaking in front of others, this is a place where you can just be yourself and enjoy.

LanCafé Ofunaは気軽に英語を話してみたい方、英語学習に興味がある方に向けたランゲージエクスチェンジ形式のイベントです。
英語初心者の方も大歓迎。分からないときは日本語でもOK！
毎回、スタッフがテーマやアクティビティを用意しているので、「何を話せばいいの？」と心配しなくて大丈夫です。

今回は、暑い日も続いているので涼しげなことをやりたい&外国人の参加者に日本文化を体験していただきたいという想いで、かき氷を作って食べながらおしゃべりする企画を考えてみました🍧
これまで参加してくださった方々は本当に穏やかでフレンドリーな方ばかりで、LanCaféがいい雰囲気のコミュニティとして少しずつ育っているのを感じています。
以前、他の英会話イベントに参加したとき、常連さんの空気が入りづらかったり、自分の英語力に自信がなくて引け目を感じたりした経験がありました（実話です…涙）。
だからこそ、LanCaféでは「誰でも安心して話せる場所」にしていきたいと思っています。
