tokyo stories: cross-cultural & intergenerational conversations over lunch

詳細

what’s it really like to live in Tokyo?

come hang out with us and our japanese friends from the community at Project MINT for a casual, cross-cultural, and intergenerational exchange over lunch. while eating at local restaurants in meguro in small groups, we’ll exchange stories from our lives in Tokyo to bring out local and global perspectives.

🔍 details
when? sat july 5, 12-3:30pm
where? meet at Impact HUB Tokyo, disperse to eat at local restaurants in meguro
who? max 20ppl
cost? free (except lunch costs + 1 required drink order at Impact HUB)
language? english & japanese (japanese proficiency not required to join)

⚙️ how it works
we’ll first gather at impact HUB before breaking out into small-group lunches at local restaurants in the area. over lunch, groups will connect around the theme of ‘life in tokyo’ through lightly facilitated discussions, with bilingual volunteers from kizuna helping with interpretation in each group (so, you're very welcome to join even if you don't speak japanese!)

we’ll spend time sharing how we experience this city, as people at different stages of life and from different backgrounds both in and outside Japan. after lunch, everyone will reconvene at Impact HUB to reflect on our stories, and create a piece of collective artwork. come and see tokyo through the eyes of others!

⚠️ if you can't attend
we kindly ask you to cancel your rsvp if you decide not to attend. this helps us know the number of participants and opens up the spot for others who want to join the event.
