Join the Koenji Cinema Club at The Den for a unique and unexpected independent film in English or a world cinema movie with English subtitles.

Our second-ever screening is on October 11th at 7:30 PM for the film "Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person"

The film is a quiet, offbeat story about two unlikely souls whose meeting changes the way they see life, death, and everything in between.

We'd like to make the emphasis more on the event experience rather than the movie itself, encouraging everyone to attend the film without learning too much about it beforehand in order to go in somewhat blind and unbiased, placing more significance on the post-screening discussion and debate with other audience members over a beer or soft drink.

So come on down, sip on craft beer, and mingle with fellow film enthusiasts as we delve into the artistry, creativity, and unique perspectives of movies that are often difficult to watch in Japan.

Whether you are a seasoned cinephile or simply looking to broaden your cinematic horizons, this is a chance to explore films in a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere.

The Den is a burger and craft beer bar and opens at 5 PM, so feel free to come early for a drink or burger before we officially kick off.

Address: 4-25-8 Koenjiminami 2/3F. The Den is located 2 minutes from Koenji Station (JR Chuo/Sobu line). Take the south exit, cross the street, and it's on the right side of the small alley, which is on the other side of the PAL 'shotengai' shopping street.

Tickets: 1,500 yen advanced event ticket + 1 drink order at the venue.
