Kyoto Comedy welcomes Zenjiro, one of Japan’s most internationally experienced stand-up comedians, for a special English-language comedy show in Kyoto.

🌏 JAPAN MEETS THE WORLD
Zenjiro has spent decades taking Japanese comedy beyond Japan.

After beginning his career under legendary Japanese comedian Ryutaro Kamioka, Zenjiro became a successful television personality and award-winning comedian before taking the unusual step of pursuing stand-up comedy internationally.

His career has taken him to comedy stages and festivals around the world, with appearances associated with Just for Laughs Montreal, HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, BBC television and more.

His international competition achievements include:

• 🏆 Winner — Thailand International Comedy Festival (2015)
• 🥈 2nd Place — L.A. Comedy Store Stand-Up Competition (1998)
• 🏅 4th Place — Sacramento Comedy Competition (2016)

Now Zenjiro comes to Kyoto Comedy for a special performance entirely in English.
