To be able to participate in this workshop you have to register in this Google form. Since we will be at the Google office there will be a formal reception.
In this workshop we will learn how to deploy a Deep Learning model in the browser using TensorFlow.js. Here are some cool demos https://www.tensorflow.org/js/demos/.
-- SCHEDULE --
11:30 Doors open
12:00 - 13:00 Intro to TF.js
13:00 - 13:45 Lunch break
13:45 - 14:15 Basic web skills and browser demo
- Installing packages with Yarn
- Running a development server
- Basic GUI and js
14:15 - 15:15 Running tf.js converter on a Keras pre-trained model
15:15 - 15:30 Break
15:30 - 16:30 Loading the model and running it with important concepts like tf.Model, tf.tidy, tf.nextFrame
16:30 - 17:00 Deploying on GitHub pages (bonus)
-- PREREQUISITE --
- Basic knowledge of machine learning/deep learning and Python coding. We will be using Keras.
- Basic web programming (HTML, JS) knowledge is preferred.
-- THINGS TO PREPARE --
- Have a GitHub account
- Install nodejs https://nodejs.org/en/
- Install Yarn on laptop (https://yarnpkg.com/lang/en/docs/install/#mac-stable)
- Strongly recommended to use Mac OS or Linux with Google Chrome. Use Windows at your own risk.
-- INSTRUCTORS --
Reiichiro Nakano is a software engineer working at a startup in Tokyo. His main interests are machine learning for creativity and machine learning in the browser. https://reiinakano.github.io/repos/
Kai Sasaki is a software engineer at Arm Treasure Data, an enterprise-level CDP provider based on cloud technology, where he is working on maintaining scalable distributed systems for big data analysis. Kai is the co-author of "Deep Learning in the Browser" from bleeding edge press and enthusiastic about contributing to open source software like Hadoop/Presto/TensorFlow.js. https://www.lewuathe.com/menu/about.html
