About this Event
Join us for one of our biggest events of the year, the empowerment and teachings of the Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa.

The Wisdom Buddha Je Tsongkhapa is the founder of the Kadampa tradition, and regarded as the manifestation of Buddha’s compassion, wisdom, and spiritual power. The empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we are connected to the source of these powerful qualities, which will sustain us throughout our spiritual life.
It will be followed by practical teachings on how to do Heart Jewel, the daily meditation practice of Kadampas worldwide.

A “Kadampa” is “someone who takes all of Buddha’s teachings as personal advice and puts them into practice in their daily lives.” How they do this is by practicing Lamrim (the stages of the path to enlightenment), Lojong (mind-training), and Mahamudra Tantra, both in meditation and by transforming their everyday activities. Heart Jewel makes it easy to do this within a compact, blessed, and straightforward daily sadhana.

This whole weekend will open the door to the sublime and blissful practice of Kadampa Buddhism, through which enlightenment can be accomplished swiftly.

Suitable for near-beginners to advanced meditators, everybody is welcome to attend this special event! (Scroll down for more information.)

Who is Je Tsongkhapa?
Je Tsongkhapa was the Tibetan Buddhist Master and scholar who founded the New Kadampa lineage, which is our tradition of Buddhism; and he is the living inspiration behind everything we do.

Buddha Shakyamuni predicted Je Tsongkhapa in King of Instructions Sutra, explaining that he would spread and clarify all Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra. Je Tsongkhapa is best known for his revolutionary synthesis of the vast and profound Buddhist teachings into a clear, comprehensive, and accessible path to enlightenment. All of Venerable Geshe Kelsang’s teachings are based on the works of Je Tsongkhapa.

During this empowerment weekend, Kadam Lucy also explain:
Why and how we rely on Buddha as a teacher (Je Tsongkhapa) and as a protector (Dorje Shugden) using the essential practice of Heart Jewel.
How to do the so-called “Heart Jewel sandwich” – meditating on the stages of the path and Mahamudra within an integrated and powerful daily practice.

How to bring our whole day into the path to enlightenment, including the mind-training practice of transforming all adverse conditions into the path.
This empowerment weekend will be illuminating and practical for anyone who has been coming to the Center for a little while and developed an interest in creating a regular, authentic Buddhist practice with guaranteed good results.

Suitable for near-beginners through to advanced meditators, everyone will learn something useful and inspiring on this special weekend.
