Tenen hike & hiding temple &建長寺

詳細
*〜For those who want to get away from crowded trains and the city〜*
╰(*´︶`*)╯♡
The Tenen hiking trail also known as the Kamakura Alps, is tiring if you start from Kenchoji Temple, so try starting from the opposite side👌. First, walk about 10 minutes to Zuisenji Temple. It's a long staircase, but in the shade of the forest, you'll climb the green moss steps in the crisp, clear air and pleasant breeze🍃🍃🐿️. Located high in the mountains, this temple is known as the Flower Temple, where you can enjoy seasonal flowers all year round🪻🪷Next, walk back about 5 minutes to the ruins of Eifukuji Temple. This is the site of a temple built by Minamoto no Yoritomo of top of the Samurai and is now a large park. After visiting the Kamakura-gu Shrine, we headed to Kakuonji Temple. It's tucked away in a secluded spot, so few people know about it, but the main hall (Yakushido) is a stunning sight, with its pristine architecture and scenery that will make you stop😳.You can see the main image of Yakushi Nyorai, the Twelve Heavenly Generals, and the black Jizo Bodhisattva statue.
Lunch time!!under the roof here.😋🍙
And…Let’s go‼️to the Tenen Hiking Trail🚶🏻♀️🚶🏼🚶🏻♂️it’s short trail, bypassing the hot Ohirayama and Tenen, offering panoramic views of Kamakura and passing through Juo-iwa Rock, Kenchoji Temple, and Hansobo. Along the way, you'll find the Hyakuhachi Yagura※ Tower, allowing you to truly experience Kamakura's history. We then toured the expansive grounds of Kenchoji Temple. Hansobo, located at the very back of it, encompasses the entire valley, and boasts a large number of Tengu statues and a spectacular view from the sky.
You'll probably feel like you've walked this far, but the final stretch is at Kenchoji Temple. This incredibly spacious temple is 1.5 times the size of the Tokyo Dome. The back entrance, called "Hansobo," is where you'll enter. This is where the many Tengu are lined up. We toured the grounds of Kenchoji Temple. Japan's first Zen meditation dojo was established, and at its peak, over 1,000 monks practice here, making it the first of the Five Mountains of Kamakura.
