This is one of Yugawara's most popular tourist spots in Kanagawa Prefecture, where approximately 4,000 red and white plum trees bloom.

Against the majestic natural backdrop of Mt. Makuyama, the approximately 4,000 red and white plum trees bloom like a "plum carpet," and the garden is enveloped in a faint plum fragrance. The sight of the entire area covered in red and white plums is truly breathtaking.
Enjoy the plum blossoms along the hiking trail as you head to the summit.

After enjoying the plum blossoms, visit the stalls at the base of the mountain. You can enjoy local Yugawara products and souvenirs, plum soft ice cream that's only available at this time of year, and warming amazake (sweet rice drink)—all of which are seasonal delicacies and seasonal delights.
[Mt. Maku]
Elevation: 626m. Walking distance: Approximately 6.0 km, walking time: 185 minutes.
Formed as part of the eruption of the Hakone volcano, the mountain is surrounded by rock walls of columnar joints made from cooled and hardened lava, resembling a kabuki curtain, hence the name Makuyama. Known for its hiking and rock climbing, the mountain is home to the beautiful natural scenery at its base, which is why Plum Blossom Park was created.

約4,000本もの紅白の梅が咲きほこる神奈川県湯河原の屈指の観光スポット。
その雄大な幕山の自然を背景に約4,000本の紅梅・白梅がさながら『梅のじゅうたん』のごとく咲きほこり、園内はほのかな梅の香りに包まれます。辺り一面が紅白の梅で埋め尽くされている光景は思わず息を飲んでしまうほど。
ハイキングコースを通って梅の花をご観覧いただきながら、山頂を目指しましょう。
梅を堪能した後は山のふもとの出店に訪れてみましょう。湯河原の地場産品や土産品、この時期ならではの梅ソフトクリーム、暖かさが嬉しい甘酒をなど、湯河原ならではのグルメや季節感たっぷりの品を楽しむことができます。
［幕山］
標高626m。歩行距離約6.0km、歩行時間185分
箱根火山の噴火活動の一環で形成された山で冷えて固まった溶岩の柱状節理の岩壁が山腹を取り囲み、それがまるで歌舞伎の幕の様なので、そちらにちなんで幕山と名付けられたとされています。ハイキングやロッククライミングでも知られる山でそのふもとの美しい自然を生かして作られたのが梅林公園です。
