Mendix Japan Low Code "Senryu" (Short Poem) Contest 2024

日本人は古来、五七五のリズムに親しみ、和歌や俳諧、俳句という形式で季節の移り変わりや日々の想いを残してきました。
新しい時代を切り開いた明治天皇は1万首を超える和歌を詠んだとされます。川柳もまたそうした日本人の心の表現として日本人に愛されてきた。特に「サラリーマン川柳」に代表される一般人からの投稿は毎年の風物詩として1987年より続けられています。
そうした中で、Mendixが「ローコード川柳」を掲げてコンテストを行う理由は、伝統的な開発手法からローコードへ急速に傾く時代変化の中で、ともすれば孤独なワークともみなされがちなプログラミングで感じたことを教えてほしい、との思いからです。第１回開催の昨年は、多くの方から素晴らしい作品をご応募いただきました。
デベロッパー個々人の営みと発露を、このコンテストを通じて讃え、今後とも残していきたいと考えています。

• ６月１９日開催のMendix Japan Day 2024にて最優秀賞・優秀賞を発表
• 選者：Mendix Japanおよび外部審査員（Mendixパートナー企業）

Since ancient times, Japanese people have been familiar with the five-seven-five rhythm, and have preserved the changing seasons and daily thoughts in the form of waka, haikai, and haiku.
Emperor Meiji, who ushered in a new era, is said to have composed over 10,000 waka poems. Senryu has also been loved by the Japanese people as an expression of the Japanese spirit. In particular, submissions from ordinary people, such as ``Salaryman Senryu,'' have been an annual tradition since 1987.
Under these circumstances, the reason why Mendix is holding a contest under the slogan "Low-code Senryu" is that in the era of rapid change from traditional development methods to low-code, programming is often seen as a solitary work. This is because I want you to tell me what you feel. Last year, when the first competition was held, many people submitted wonderful works.
Through this contest, we would like to celebrate the efforts and expressions of individual developers and continue to preserve them in the future.

Award
We will award the Grand Prize and two Excellence Awards.
Examination method
Two winners will be selected for the Grand Prize and Excellence Award from among the senryu submitted by the deadline.
The Grand Prize and Excellence Award will be announced at Mendix Japan Day 2024 held on June 19th.
