New Year Event in Okusawa Junior Highschool

Many of the local cities and governments run new year events during January in Japan.

This is one of those events! The location is at the local junior high school this year, and it’s fun to join. (Free administration of course!)

You can have an experience of traditional Japanese new year activities such as MochiTsuki (Mochi pounding), playing with Koma (Japanese wooden tops) and/or Hagoita (wooden plate tennis) etc

They also prepare some snacks and drinks for purchase.
