Koto & Violin Experience in a Japanese Temple♪

Have you ever wanted to try playing a traditional Japanese instrument?

Join us for a special hands-on music experience　in a tatami room inside a Buddhist temple in Tokyo!

You’ll have the chance to actually play the koto, a traditional Japanese string instrument, as well as the violin. No musical experience is needed — complete beginners are very welcome!

The event is hosted by noranolism, a trio of graduates from Tokyo University of the Arts specializing in koto, violin, and classical singing.
Rather than simply listening to a concert, this event is all about experiencing music for yourself.

We’ll begin with a short live performance, followed by a hands-on koto and violin experience.
At the end, we’ll bring everything together — including live singing — and create a small ensemble with everyone!

The event takes place in an intimate tatami room at Seishoko-ji Temple, with only 8 participants per session.
Whether you are interested in Japanese culture, curious about traditional instruments, or simply looking for something different to do in Tokyo, we’d love to welcome you!

No experience necessary. Instruments　will be provided — just come and enjoy!

⭐︎ABOUT NORANOLISM
“noranolism” is a trio of Tokyo University of the Arts graduates specializing in Japanese koto, classical singing, and violin.
We bring together Japanese and Western musical traditions to explore new ways of experiencing music.
Our activities range from concerts in cafés and temples to outdoor performances and hands-on workshops. We are especially passionate about introducing Japanese music and the works of Michio Miyagi to new audiences.
Our goal is simple: to share traditional — and new — Japanese music with people from around the world.
Come experience Japanese music not only by listening, but by playing it yourself!

真夏の楽器体験会 ～お寺で箏＆ヴァイオリン体験～ 🎵
箏やヴァイオリンを、実際に自分で演奏してみませんか？
東京・日本橋浜町のお寺「清正公寺」の畳のお部屋で、箏とヴァイオリンを間近で聴き、実際に触れて楽しめる特別な音楽体験会を開催します！
楽器経験はまったく必要ありません。初めて楽器に触れる方も大歓迎です♪
イベントを開催するのは、東京藝術大学卒業生による箏・ヴァイオリン・声楽のユニット「のらノりずむ」。
普段のコンサートでも間近で演奏をお楽しみいただいていますが、今回は“聴くだけではなく、自分で演奏して楽しむ”ことがテーマです！
まずは箏・ヴァイオリン・歌による演奏を間近でお聴きいただき、その後は実際に箏とヴァイオリンを体験。
そして最後には、歌も交えながら参加者の皆さんと一緒にミニ合奏を行います♪
各回最大8名の少人数制ですので、楽器を初めて触る方にもじっくり体験していただけます。
楽器に興味がある方はもちろん、日本の文化に触れてみたい方、新しいことに挑戦してみたい方、お子さまから大人の方まで、どなたでも大歓迎です！
