A relaxed, no-pressure hangout for AudHD / neurodivergent folks.

You can talk, read, work, crochet, draw, journal, play a game, join in with someone else, or simply sit near friendly people. There is no expectation to share, perform, or socialize the whole time.

**Note that the B&N cafe closes at 7pm and the store closes at 8pm** but the seating area around the cafe is open the entire time until the store closes.

The meetup is inspired by body doubling and parallel play, but it is not limited to solo activities. Body doubling means doing something while others are nearby, which can make it easier to start, focus, or feel grounded. Parallel play means sharing space while people do what feels good to them — sometimes separately, sometimes together, sometimes a little of both.

Bring whatever helps you feel comfortable: a laptop, book, craft project, game, headphones, fidgets, or just yourself.

**Before you RSVP:** This gathering is for adults who are **queer and/or neurodivergent** and interested in demi, poly, or relationship-expansive ways of connecting. It is not a dating event, speed-dating night, hookup space, or partner-finding service.

Demi Poly People is a space for connection, community, and honest conversation. Together, we’ll talk about relationships, attraction, and intimacy; about boundaries, consent, and communication; and about people-pleasing, self-trust, and building closeness without pressure or performance.

This is a place to show up as honestly as you can, at your own pace. You do not need to be polished, certain, outgoing, or easy to categorize. The hope is that people can feel seen, respected, and accepted as they are while connection has room to unfold naturally.

This group is likely a better fit for people who value emotional awareness, self-reflection, and slower forms of trust-building. You do not need to have everything figured out, but you should be willing to notice your impact, respect other people’s limits, and approach others with care.
