Come sit in group silence to meditate, contemplate or whatever calls you.

Structure (shown in minutes past the hour since there are different time zones)

* :00 Please enter our space muted. As much as we like to be friendly and acknowledge each other, please do so with a smile and wait until 20 mins past the hour for any speaking.
* :01 Sit in silence and stillness for 15 minutes. Leaving your camera on is encouraged unless you know you cannot be reasonably still (e.g., if you are moving about or eating breakfast please turn your camera off while doing so)
* :16 Coming back, we continue in silence for a few more minutes. We encourage you to turn your camera on unless you know you can't be reasonably still.
* :20 Optional sharing of individual reflections on today's silence that contribute to the group's purpose. For instance: “I tried a new prompt where the only thing to think about is ‘I wonder what my next thought will be’ and it was really helpful” or “I started out feeling very distracted by the birds my roof, but I was able to reframe the irritation into an appreciation of how wonderful It is to be this close to nature” or “I hadn't done a body scan meditation in a while and I forgot how powerful it can be.”
* :25 Optional casual conversation begins (feel free to stay and chat for as long as you want.)

A few reminders:

1. Please mute yourself when you join - we will begin the silence at 10:01 ET / 7:01am PT.
2. We have received feedback that it's preferred to sit quietly before the actual 15 mins start, so when you join, please refrain from "chit chat".
3. After the 15 mins are up, we will let everyone know (so you don't need to keep track of time yourself).
4. If you need to drop off early, feel free to just exit the Zoom (no need to let us know.)

Left leaning politics are a focus.
I know that having Chinese food every week may be boring to some people, but here are the reasons why I'm keeping this location:

* Free parking
* Reasonably priced
* Separate checks
* A really nice conference room
* Great location
* More new people from other parts of the city
* 10 minutes from Brentwood in the middle of the day.

The salads are good, or come and just have tea if you don't want Chinese food.

How about a walk around Lake Thoreau in Reston? Sure, it's November, but just wear a hat, scarf and gloves and come out in the brisk air to walk and talk with other great FFF>50 women!

Let's meet on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10 am at the Starbucks at the South Lakes Shopping Center in Reston, VA (address is 11170 South Lakes Dr, Reston, VA 20191). We can enjoy a hot beverage and then start along the trail between 10:30 and 11.

We should be finished walking by noon, and then the group can decide on an optional lunch afterward if desired.

There is parking at the shopping center, or the closest metro station is Wiehle-Reston East on the Silver Line, about a 30-minute walk away. Let us know if you'd like a ride!
