Come along and learn meditation, and fill your life with more meaning, depth, kindness and friendship. We are building a community of like minded people who value these things.

Note that it might say in Meetup that only 1 or 2 people are attending, but a lot of people do not RSVP on Meetup. We normally get between 20 and 30 people turning up.

We meet in person at the Millbridge Rooms opposite the Hertford Theatre. It is best to turn up between 7pm and 7.15pm for a prompt start at 7.30pm. We end the evening at 9.30pm, but you can always leave at the tea break in the middle if you prefer.

There is no cost.

I am really looking forward to having you join us. You do not have to "be a Buddhist" or know anything about Buddhism.

Newcomers and total beginners are always welcome. We always give full meditation instruction.

Some meetings will be more focused on meditation, others on Buddhism. Some will have a lot of talking by the leader, whereas others will have more interaction and discussion.

We like to mix things up a bit to get a bit of variety, so we also rotate the person leading it.

Tiratanaloka is a retreat centre dedicated to supporting women to deepen their Buddhist practice and join the Triratna Order. They are moving to a much larger property in Ware, and we will be their spiritual neighbours! Please join us to help raise the funds that they still need to make this new retreat centre a reality. Our cooks will be creating a home-made, two-course vegan Gujarati meal. Arrive at 12:30pm for a 12:45pm start, finishing at 2pm. £12.50/ £15 with additional donations welcome. Bring your family members and friends! Karunadhi, the Chair of Tiratanaloka, is intending to come.
