GenAI, LLM, and other buzzwords are everywhere. The sea of acronyms can feel like (and sometimes actually are) a black box for the complex logic and processes that underpin them. Does/should a Java developer care?

In this session, we’ll explore how these technologies operate and cover many of the technical terms that go along with them, such as hallucinations, grounding, and more. We will understand the abilities GenAI can provide to technical solutions alongside some of the struggles they bring, as well. Live-code examples will show how Java developers can utilize GenAI and help determine whether they are worth the hype. Come see if you should pass or play on GenAI.

Back by popular demand (or maybe just b/c we had fun last time), we're doing another Tea and Code at Clevyr! Not familiar with that? Just show up, hang out, drink some awesome tea (all free, of course), and get to know more about your fellow Techlahomies. This is not a speaker event - we're just having a good time. Maybe we'll even fill up that mini-keg in the picture. What better way to end the work week? No laptops required; you're more than welcome to bring them however, and there will be tables and desks available if you need to escape to a quiet place.

[Clevyr](https://clevyr.com) is a very community-oriented and local-to-OKC software consulting company located at Classen and NW 9th St, with a large, easy, and free parking lot just north of the building. Enter via the north door (there will be signs guiding you there).
