Shadowrun / Obedience or Blacklisted / Otsuka RPG Day March
詳細
In our previous scenario, Idol Group “Kawaikunai” (We are not cute) attempted a tour in Seattle for their dedicated fans. News of their arrival leaked on the Matrix causing rabid fans to flood their venues each vying for their one chance to see their favorite "oshi" in person. Things would have been disastrous if it wasn’t for a group of extremely capable Shadowrunners hired as a failsafe. Although ultimately no harm came to the group, they were paid handsomely and no mass media coverage took place, the group’s management agency tried to cancel the remaining tour for fear that the risks were far too high to justify another show.
Unfortunately, in the hyper-capitalist world of Shadowrun, money is the only thing that talks. The production company “Shiroi Kaisha” promptly informed the idol group that they are contractually obligated to perform their shows whether their management agency likes it or not. If they refuse to comply, they will be blacklisted which is a career ending label. Furthermore, the former reliable Shadowrunners were released from their obligations after hearing that the tour was cancelled and disappeared into the Matrix.
That’s where you come in. You are the group that was selected as the security fail-safe. You have a meeting scheduled with the fixer to discuss the details of the job.
What happens during a Shadowrun game?
Lots of mayhem! Briefly, the player characters work as a team and get hired by Mr. Johnson (the pseudonym used by people contracting runs), scope out the job, do the legwork, and then carry out their plan. You are only told as much as Mr Johnson wants you to know, but probably not everything that you need to know! Things will probably go wrong at some juncture. Violence is inevitable. It’s not a matter of if, but when and how. What are you gonna do about it? Cry like a little elf baby, or make like an Orc and smash your way to success? These are the things you will deal with a Shadowrunner. As a game session progresses, players will meet obstacles or have the chance to use their skills to carry out their plan. This is when the dice come out!
What dice do I use?
Six-sided dice. Period. Sometimes one or two or three, sometimes a small handful, sometimes a large handful. Maybe twenty or more, when you get really good.
