The Wizard's Grimorie / Otsuka RPG Day April
詳細
Please sign up ready to participate actively and generously with the other two players, come up with details about people and the world on the spot and to speak in character during short scenes. You don't have to bring anything else!
Hey, I'm trying to get my wizard through this spellbook, can you help me out? My wizard has come into the possession of an ancient and powerful grimoire, the Signature of Aibesta of the Two Courts. I need two friends to play with, together we will go through an episode (or two) of my wizard's adventures as they study this grimoire.
The game is simple, almost your only job is to get with the other volunteer and make up answers to my questions. I’ll ask things like “I’m set upon by raiders. What are they like?” You and your fellow volunteer can imagine any raiders you want, exactly the raiders you find most fun, and tell me about them together.
I might ask one or both of you to act as the characters that we come up who interact with my wizard and play out the scene.
If you want to ask me any questions before you answer mine, to make sure you’ve got all the details right or whatever, please do! I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
The reason there are two of you, by the way, is that this way you can trade off and build on each others’ ideas. Neither of you has to do all the work.

The Wizard's Grimorie is a game by Vincent Baker which presents a unique structure to the conversation of TTRPGs where the person who reads the rulebook and is in charge of moving play along actively asks the other two players to create details about the world and to frame characters and scenes. I am not allowed to read the parts of the grimoire that I have not unlocked, so there will be discovery for us all at the table!
