🔰AWS Workshop: Launch Your Simple Website with EC2

You want to publish your own website, but servers look difficult? In this event, you will upload a simple sample website built with HTML and CSS to an AWS EC2 instance and publish it on the internet.

We use a pre-built sample site, so complete HTML beginners are very welcome!
*We have no idea about WordPress at all, so we won't use it👼
🚨 Requirements

• Please create an AWS account before the event starts.
• Make sure your credit card is registered and there are no verification errors.

🌼 What You Will Achieve

• Launch a portfolio website

• Want to publish a portfolio site for free
• Curious about AWS and want to try it with kind guidance

🌼 Participation Fee

• ¥2,000 pp
• You must purchase at least one drink or food item at the venue.

2. AWS-related certifications can be added to your resume.

🌼 Schedule
We will first go through the overall process of publishing a website:

• Introduction of a completed sample
• Roadmap to publishing a website
• What is a website?
• What is a server?
• What is hosting?

Once you have a basic understanding, we move into a hands-on session:

• Download sample HTML/CSS files
• Log in to AWS
• Create an EC2 instance
• Configure security groups
• Connect to the server
• Enter shell commands
• Install Apache
• Upload HTML/CSS files to the server
• View the website in a browser
• Delete the server
• Practice, Q&A, and editing time.

🌼 About AWS Costs
We will use the AWS Free Tier plan. If you want to avoid charges, please make sure to delete your server before leaving.
🌼 Cancellation policy

• DM the organiser when cancelling within 24 hours before the start.
• If we don’t reach 4 sign-ups 3 days before the event, it will be cancelled.

💛 Group Guidelines
The organizer is not responsible for AWS usage fees, data loss, computer issues, accidents, injuries, or any other problems during or after the event.
Members may be removed without notice if they:

• No-show
• Joining events without RSVP
• Not paying the fee
• Coming by fossil-fuelled car or motorbike
• Harassment or discrimination
• Smoking/alcohol during the event

自分のWebサイトを公開したいけどサーバーってよくわからないですよね。このイベントでは、HTMLとCSSで作られたシンプルなサンプル用WebサイトをAWSにアップロードし、ネットに公開する体験をします。

🌼 AWSの料金について

• AWSアカウントの設定、利用状況、料金の管理は、各参加者の責任となります。料金を発生させたくない場合は手順に従ってサーバーとサイトを削除してから帰ってください。

🌼 キャンセルポリシー

• 開催24時間以内にキャンセルする場合は、主催者へDMをお願いします。
• 開催3日前までに4名以上の申し込みがない場合は開催を中止します。

💛 グループガイドライン
イベント中・後のAWS利用料金、データの消失、パソコンのトラブル、事故、けが、その他の問題について、主催者は責任を負いません。以下に該当するメンバーはグループから削除します。

• 無断欠席
• RSVPをせずに参加する
• 連絡有りのドタキャンを繰り返す
• 参加費を支払わない
• ハラスメントや迷惑行為
• イベント中の喫煙・飲酒
