Would you enjoy public speaking more if you could do it more naturally and in your own authentic style?

At our club meetings, you can learn public speaking in a fun, supportive environment alongside others.

Beginners are very welcome, and everyone learns at their own pace.

Visitors don't need to prepare anything. Just join us and enjoy the meeting!

Event Details:

  • Date: April 26th, 2026
  • Time: 10AM-12PM (JST)
  • Location: Online (ZOOM) and a venue in Yokohama Kannai
  • Online(ZOOM): The ZOOM URL will be sent to the guests via Meetup direct message.
  • Event Venue: Yokohama-shi Gino Bunkakaikan, 5F Special Meeting Room

  • Theme: Enjoy learning Japanese / English public speaking together!
    *We plan to have lunch after the meeting.

Agenda:

  1. Welcome and Icebreaker: Get to know fellow learners and create a comfortable atmosphere.
  2. Japanese Session:
    - Member Speech Presentation (1-2 speeches)
    Witness inspiring speeches in Japanese that demonstrate language proficiency and confidence.
    - Impromptu Speeches (Table Topics)
    You can see how you can improve communication skills, such as the quick response, giving a short speech promptly.
    You may give an impromptu speech if you wish.
    - Feedback from members
    By watching this, you can see how our club members receive constructive advice and inspiration from other members.
  3. 5 minutes break
  4. English Session:
    - Member Speech Presentation (1-2 speeches)

Guest Visit:
You may attend up to 3 club meetings (regular meetings) of the Yokohama Ocean Toastmasters Club as a guest free of charge.

Admission Fee and Monthly Membership Fee:
Yokohama Ocean Toastmasters Club charges an admission fee at the time of joining and a monthly membership fee.
(Including the cost of the Pathways online program)
Admission Fee: JPY 3,200
Monthly Membership Fee: JPY 1,700
(paid in advance for 6 months in March and September)
