Yokohama English Garden is an award-winning botanical destination renowned for its extensive collection of over 2,200 varieties and 2,800 rose bushes. Located within the tvk ecom park, the garden is designed to showcase flowers and plants that thrive in Yokohama's specific climate
Yokohama English Garden
Yokohama Nature Sanctuary is a 45-hectare urban nature sanctuary located on the southern edge of Yokohama, offering, forests, marshes, and ponds to explore. Key features include four themed nature trails (Dogwood, Oak, Dandelion, and Japanese Warbler), diverse wildlife, and a nature center for education. See the PDF for more information.

We will meet at TOBE station on the Keikyu Line BEFORE 9.45am. There is a train departing Shinagawa station at 9.09am, arriving at Yokohama at 9.27am. From Yokohama there is a train departing from the same platform at 9.32am, arriving at 9.34am. Please kindly ensure you arrive punctually.
We will walk 15 minutes from Tobe station to Yokohama English Garden.
The Yokohama English Garden is a premier, award-winning botanical garden, famous for its massive collection of over 2,200 varieties of fragrant, repeat-blooming roses and a 50-meter rose tunnel. The garden specialises in English-style landscapes with seasonal flowers and hydrangeas, blooming from spring through autumn. Yokohama English Garden
We will then either walk back to Tobe station, or take the free shuttle bus to Yokohama station. We'll then take the Keikyu Line to Kanazawa-Hakkei station, and then take the Kanagawa Chuo Kotsu Bus bound for either Ofuna Station(大船駅), Kamigo Neopolis (上郷ネオポリス), or Shodo (庄戸) (Approximately a 15 minute ride). Get off at “Yokohama Reien-mae” (横浜霊園前) bus stop and walk 7 minutes to the Nature Center Directional signs are available at the bus stop (in Japanese language only).Walk in the direction of the tunnel from the bus stop; just to the left before the tunnel, go up the stairs (about 120 steps).
Yokohama Nature Sanctuary has 4 nature trails that begin from the Nature Center. Along the trails, visitors will find observation huts and interpretive signs to explain more about the Sanctuary.
It has many diverse habitats with rolling hills of forests, grasslands, open areas, ponds, small marsh habitat, and the headwaters for small rivers.
The Wild Bird Society of Japan is working with Yokohama City and the “Yokohama Nature Sanctuary Volunteer Support Group” to conserve these beautiful forests and its biodiversity. See the PDF for more information.

Nature Sanctuary - admission is free (we will not be visiting the zoo),
Event fee:
¥750 (discount fee) limited to the first 5 applicants (make sure you contact me on LINE immediately!) - payment is required via PayPay within 24 hours and is non-refundable. If you think you may need to cancel, then choose the option below ⬇️
¥1250 (regular prepaid fee) if you pay by 7pm on 29th May (PayPay, or in cash at an earlier event).
¥1500 in cash on the event day (30th May) - please bring the correct money.
If you don't have PayPay, please ask a friend or coworker to do the transaction for you (give them cash!).
Cancellation policy:
- Full refund given for ¥1250 payments if cancellation is notified BY LINE MESSAGE at least 36 hours before the event start time.
- Reservation and then no-showing without prepayment requires full payment of the event fee via PayPay within 24 hours. Further non-payment will result in removal from the group.

After the event, you may submit a review/evaluation. Please kindly rate appropriately as a low evaluation has an impact on the group. Things you should clearly understand in advance:
- I (Mark) am not a tour guide. For many events this will also be my first time, and events are mainly organised based on intensive internet research.
- Nature cannot be guaranteed, so flower festivals may be impacted by the recent climate.
- We aim to depart on time, however bus schedules might change. This is unavoidable.
- We request participants arrive EARLY. In rare cases we might wait a few minutes if we do not need to take a bus.
- The number of participants is not guaranteed. However we will not have large groups.
- The event finish time might be earlier or later than advertised. The hiking time might be longer/shorter than anticipated. Return bus times are not guaranteed.
How to calculate your review appropriately:
