Kamakura Beach Cleanup🗻

Let's clean out Yuigahama beach while chatting with eco-minded members. Beaches in Japan are already full of plastic. Stand up, take an action, not for future children but for your tomorrow.

There is a nice vegan hamburger shop near the beach🍔🤤

🌼 Note

• Don’t take tourists’ trash. Help them to be responsible.
• Late? Find us by yourself. No signal on the beach.

🌼 Language

• English (A2/英検3級+ required)

🌼 Schedule

• 09:30 Meet at Kamakura Station
• 10:00 Start cleanup at Yuigahama Beach
• 11:50 Drop off trash
• 12:00 End at the beach

🌼 What to bring
We provide plastic bags. Please prepare:

• Warm clothes
• Safe shoes
• Hat, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen
• Drink (hot one recommended)
• Trash tongs
• Rubber gloves
• Your own leisure/travel insurance

DM us 48 hours in advance when borrowing the following:

• Strainer -2 available for microplastics
• Tweezers - 2 available for microplastics
• Cotton gloves - 7 pairs available (take them home!)

🌼 Fee

• 500 yen in cash

🌼 Cancellation policy

• DM organiser when cancelling within 24h.
• If the event is cancelled due to bad weather, we’ll update the comments by 6:00 AM on the day.
• If we don’t reach 4 sign-ups by 5 days before, the event will be cancelled.

💛 Group guidelines
We’re not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or other issues during the event. Note that members will be removed without notice for:

• No-show
• Joining without RSVP
• Not paying the fee
• Coming by fossil-fuelled car or motorbike
• Harassment or disruptive behaviour
• Smoking/alcohol/drugs during the event
• Spreading conspiracy theories
