詳細

Hamarikyu Gardens is one of Tokyo’s most beautiful and unique traditional gardens—a peaceful escape right next to the modern skyline.

Originally built in the Edo period as a feudal lord’s residence, it later became an imperial garden. What makes it special is its blend of nature and city: you’ll see calm ponds, seasonal flowers, and historic teahouses with skyscrapers rising in the background.

One highlight is the tidal pond, which changes water level with Tokyo Bay—something you don’t see in most Japanese gardens. In the center, there’s a charming teahouse where you can sit on tatami and enjoy matcha with a view of the water.

🌸 What to expect:

  • Wide open lawns (rare for Japanese gardens)
  • Seasonal scenery: plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, and autumn colors
  • Scenic walking paths perfect for a relaxed stroll
  • A quiet, less crowded atmosphere compared to other parks

🎟️ Entry fee: 300 yen
📍 Located near Shiodome / Tsukiji area

It’s perfect for a slow, mindful walk—especially if you enjoy combining nature, history, and a bit of Tokyo contrast.
