Art & Conversations

詳細

[In general]

It is a philosophical cafe in English.

What does that mean?
It means that it is not a lecture about philosophy, and that I am not a teacher in philosophy. It is a moderated philosophical discussion.

Every time will bring in a new topic, and invites a core discussion of roughly 1 hour and a half, discussed by a small group of 10 to 20 people, in English.
(Important: It is not an English class, and it is difficult for an English learner at a beginner level to participate. Please RSVP if you are comfortable expressing and developing your thoughts in English)

Someone said about Philosophy that it is the art of creating problems where there isn't any. Thus, this event aims to bring together people who want to discuss and reflect about unnecessary questions, that are of course the most important ones.

[In particular]
Practically speaking, how will this event work?
This time, we will use images to look at and host conversations about those images. The outcome will not be to create a consensus, or co-creating a specific meaning, but enjoying the process of a framed conversation and confronting oneself to others views.

[Important]
It is important that the conversation is not interrupted, so passed 19:40 (when the core conversation starts), nobody will be allowed to come in. Sorry!

Price: Free.
