Let’s enjoy the traditional Japanese comedy “Rakugo” in English!
Rakugo is a traditional Japanese comical storytelling art form. It has a history of over 300 years (dating back to the middle of the Edo era) and is characterized by its unique performance style. The stories are narrated in a dialogue format. Dressed in a kimono, the storyteller remains seated throughout the performance, playing multiple roles and acting out various scenes using only a fan and a hand towel as props. Unable to use costumes or scenery, it is the rakugoka’s (storyteller’s) job to inspire the audience’s imagination through their skill in portraying the world of the story.
I want to introduce you to this amazing art form. What fascinates me is that stories written more than 300 years ago are still performed and remain funny today. Come and enjoy some of my favorite Rakugo stories!

全編英語でのイベントですが、英語にちょいと不安があっても楽しんでいただけるように、ご希望の方にはあらかじめ日本語のあらすじをご用意しています。
お時間あれば、公演の前後はゆるゆるしてってください（アルコール有）。小腹を満たす軽食のお持ち込みもOK**。（ゴミはお持ち帰りください）**
今回、あちこちのイベントに引っ張りだこの「紙しばいや もっちぃさん」が再び登場です。ぴーこの大ネタもお見逃しなく！ちよ駒はネタおろしの予定。
