"Was there a Rogue Planet in the Early Solar System?"
Our Solar System might have formed with one or more additional Earth-mass planets. Such a rogue planet would have left observable traces and could help explain the mysterious asteroids in the outer Solar System, such as one recently discovered with the Subaru Telescope. Join us with Yukun Huang / 黄 宇坤 (NAOJ) to explore the dynamic history of our Solar System!
Speaker info:
Yukun Huang is a postdoctoral fellow at CfCA, NAOJ, working with Prof. Eiichiro Kokubo (小久保 英一郎). His research focuses on dynamical astronomy, including celestial mechanics, Kuiper Belt objects, and Solar System formation. He earned his PhD in Astronomy from UBC, Canada (2023), after completing an MSc in astrodynamics at Tsinghua University, China (2019).
