Hi everyone,
I'm going to welcome Rina Sato, one of our members as a guest speaker.
After her study of sustainable development and environmental management, she now works at a town development consulting company.
She works hard with the theme of "Walkable City" (walker friendly city), and I asked to share her story when she engaged with a project in Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama Pref.
She has presented the project at an international conference called Walk21in Hong Kong in October ( http://www.walk21hk.com/index.html ) and will briefly explain what the conference was about.
Why this topic is relevant to sustainability?
Because, walkable city is to reduce the environmental impacts from the use of private vehicles --
Private vehicles > public transport > bicycle >walk
She needed to collaborate with community residents she worked at because working with them is fundamentally important in her work.
Let's listen to her story what she experienced and enjoy discussion with her!
Date and Time: December 7 (Wed). 18:30 - 21:00
Place: Seminar Space, 2nd Floor, Social Business Lab
- I'll post a detailed map and direction to the meeting place later!
Entrance fee: 1,000JPYAbout the entrance fee: This is in order to cover the room rental fee and other costs, we would like to set the entrance fee.
Looking forward to seeing you all, soon!
