# 🏆 PPL Tokyo — Season 1 KICKOFF 🎱
### Amateur players. Serious bragging rights.
Looking for something a little more competitive than your usual social pool night?
Welcome to PPL Tokyo — an English-friendly 9-Ball league where players of different levels compete, climb the leaderboard and fight for a place in the Top 4 Finals.

⏱️ Matches: ~45–60 minutes
## 🎯 Same Game. Different Finish Lines.
PPL uses handicapped point scoring, so you don't need to be the strongest player in the room to win.
Balls 1–8 = 1 point
9-ball = 2 points
Your Skill Level determines your target.
For example:
SL3 → 25 points
vs
SL5 → 38 points
First to their target wins.
Don't have a rating? No problem. We'll give you a provisional Skill Level.
## 📈 Play. Win. Climb.
Every official match counts toward the PPL Season 1 Leaderboard.
Play your qualifying matches → climb the standings → finish Top 4 → make the Finals. 🏆
Can't attend every Saturday? That's fine.
There's no full-season commitment. Come when you're available and complete enough matches to qualify.
You can even join after the season has started while qualification is still possible.
## 💰 Growing Season Prize Pool
¥1,000 participation fee per League Night + your individual venue/table charges.
🔥 30% (¥300) from every participation goes directly into the Season 1 prize pool.
More players. More matches. Bigger pot.
## 🏆 Road to the Championship
At the end of the 8-week season:
#1 vs #4
#2 vs #3
Winners advance to the PPL Season 1 Championship.
One champion. One prize. Completely unreasonable bragging rights until Season 2. 😌
## 🌎 New Players Welcome
English will be the main language, but you don't need to be a native English speaker.
Come alone. Come with friends. Come for one night just to try it.
From Week 2 onward, each League Night goes ahead with a minimum of 4 RSVPs by Friday at 12 PM.
