While the Tokyo Business Meetup is on hiatus, we would like to highlight an event that we believe many of our members would enjoy.

[Nerd Nite Tokyo](https://tokyo.nerdnite.com/) is a social event on Friday nights each month, presenting talks on a wide variety of topics in science, literature, history, the arts, engineering, technology, the environment, and current events. Think of it as a more casual form of TED.

Here's a brief description of this month's event from the organizers:

Every month, we gather some smart speakers and a curious crowd, add a bar, and create something unique. This month, we’re in Sugamo to talk about refilling water bottles and Japanese comedy pro wrestling! As always, we will have cafe food and craft beer on tap.

First, environmental scientist **Mahi Patki** will discuss her experience as a student at the University of Tokyo leading the campaign to install water refill stations and change single-use culture. Then, comedy pro wrestler **Matt** brings Japanese underground culture (and a few wrestling moves) to the Nerd Nite stage!
