The exact meeting spot can also be seen in the photo depicted below (see red arrow).
Look for a meetup sign or organizer wearing a black or red lanyard with "staff" written on it.
***Best ways to get there:***
1\. U\-Bahn \(subway\):
Get off at Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße (former Mohrenstraße) via U2 and just walk 3 min to the mall.
2\. Bus: If you change at main station you can take the M41 or M85 to
S Potsdamer Platz /Voßstr. and walk to the mall.
**2.) Walk & Talk to the Kerb food court**
The best part of this Meetup! Most of the walk will consist a underground route all the way to the Kerb.

Kerb is located at the former Sony Center. The new flagship food court of Potsdamer Platz. Most likely we will be sitting upstairs on the first floor next to the bar (take the stairs to the left).

Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk around 7 min to Kerb.
2\. Bus M41 or M85
Get off at Potsdamer Platz and walk 5 min to Kerb.
*Who is this meetup for:*
1\. Asians who want to practice German and/or English\.
2\. German speaking individuals who are studying \(preferably\) Japanese\, Korean\, Mandarin or Cantonese\.
3\. Anyone who is interested in cultural exchange and wants to socialize\.
*What you can expect:*
1\. A professionally organized meetup that can adapt to any changes given the current situation\.
2\. A collaborating venue where you can further socialize with other members\.
*important: This event is held at the same time and meeting location like the "Networking & Language Exchange - 🍖international🍻" one. So I'm basically organizing 2 events at the same time which means that you can expect way more people than on the list.*
***
Whenever you attend a meetup, the most common as well as first question you get is: "Where are you from?"
You probably heard this question a million times. Well, at least I did.
From my own experience of attending over 200 international meetups in various countries such as Germany, Japan, Australia and Thailand, I can tell you that asking for the name is a better approach.
“A person’s name is to that person, the sweetest, most important sound in any language.” - Dale Carnegie
If you really want to connect with like-minded people you should remember their name, but you don't have to remember every persons name you've talked you. Be picky about that, don't be me who can somehow remember everyones name easily.
Don't tell yourself sth. like "I'm bad at remembering names." It's all about developing the habit of asking for a name and keep the conversation going on.
Furthermore, you want to learn German or any other language. Learning the local language is crucial to connect with the locals and developing a true friendship.
This can be accomplished with immersion. My goal is to inspire you to go out of your comfort zone and improve yourself each time you join this meetup.

x-dance: On Tape | Co-Creative Dance Journey
### **For those who prefer more details, you will find:**
* Who this event is for - no previous experience required!
* What this event is about
* Exactly how it "works"
* What the title of this event means
* Flow for the evening
#### **For you**
This special format allows for deepening and alternative experiences:
* Listen fully to your creativity: Discover the freedom that comes with dancing without guidance, embracing spontaneity and expression.
* Celebrate the organic collective spirit: Invite your agency to connect with yourself and others through the dance.
* Feel the feels: Allow for curiosity, openness and non-judgement to offer their gifts to you and the space.
### **Experience the unique magicx-dance: On Tape**
Join us for **x**-dance: On Tape, where dance and connection intertwine in an exploration of integrity, agency, and the beauty of imperfection.
**x**-dance: On Tape is an invitation to dance in a unique space to disrupt any dualistic concepts between leader and follower, teacher and student and dissolve into a spirit of co-creation.
Together, we will let go of any constructs and roles to immerse ourselves in a shared dance journey of self-expression and connection.
#### **A special take on the 5Rhythms Musical Journey**
For **x-dance: On Tape**, I pre-record the entire 5Rhythms Wave. That recording serves as our shared musical canvas—a soundscape to hold us. As I dance alongside you, we will co-hold this space, allowing the co-creation to unfold organically.
By focusing on what is, rather than seeking to adjust or fix, we’ll create a collective tapestry of movement that honors each person’s unique expression and our collective field.
#### **A nod to analog and its gifts**
The “On Tape” concept pays homage to the beauty of the analog experience – a fixed sequence, an “imperfect” sound and a tactile experience.
####
### **Flow of the evening**
Doors open at 19.15 and close promptly at 19.45. Please note entry after 19.45 isn’t possible.
* **Welcome + Introduction:** After a guided warm-up through the body, we’ll have a general welcome and introduction to the ***On Tape*** concept before we go into the dance.
* **Dance + Music:** Let go of any preconceived notions you might have about dance. Unlike anything you’ve experienced before, there is no choreography or special moves in this space. The music is played in a form of a wave where the rhythms will rise to a crescendo and then gently fall – and you’ll get to discover how it feels to move to those beats, moment by moment. During the dance, you’ll be guided with some words of inspiration and invitations (never instructions) to enhance your experience.
* **Take it Further – gathering after class:** Once the official dance is over, we open the space for all who want to stay and connect. There will be snacks, opportunities for exchange and spaces for quiet reflections, too.
* **No phones:** To allow for greatest spontaneity, creativity and freedom of expression, no phones on the dance floor.

We’ll practice through fun games and interactive conversation in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’re just starting out, more advanced, or a native speaker who enjoys helping others, everyone is encouraged to join and participate.
After the library we'll take a leisurely walk together to get food/drinks. There are many options around including North Market Bridge Park. It's a perfect opportunity to continue our conversations and enjoy each other's company over a meal.
Saturday Mornings @ East Market
Let's grab some coffee/food and share a morning chat! The East Market has an ample parking lot and outdoor and indoor seating.
Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator. If the weather cooperates we will be meeting in the patio.
Per what this group is about: "Everyone is welcome! International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who want to discuss international travel and culture, and anyone who enjoys getting together for good conversations."
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.

Meet us at Little Dragons Chinese Restaruant!
Inspired by the successful events like "Pot Luck in the Park" and "Saturday Mornings @ East Market," this meetup promises a fun and engaging atmosphere where like-minded individuals can connect over a shared love for languages and cultures. White Stone Ceremony – A New Name, A New Beginning
You are invited to participate in one of Unity’s most meaningful and empowering traditions—the **White Stone Ceremony**. As we enter a new year, this sacred ritual gives you the opportunity to listen within, connect with Spirit, and claim a new name or intention for your life.
In ancient times, receiving a white stone symbolized freedom, new identity, and fresh possibility. Today, we continue that tradition by holding a smooth white stone, entering a quiet meditation, and allowing Spirit to reveal a word, name, or message that reflects who you are becoming.
