There will also be yard games, bubbles and other “kids” activities (that I may or may not also enjoy) and there are some other things as well. Feel free to bring your outdoor activity of choice as appropriate. I have brought my “big” camera, some people bring balls, etc. Maybe I will bring some sort of creative activity to share. I tend to sit farther from the stage to reduce the volume a little bit. Feel free to come and go as necessary. I will hopefully remember to bring both of my picnic blankets which I am happy to share. The purpose of Yoga Asana isn't fitness. It is, in part, to take care of the body as our vehicle; and although this may include fitness, it should never be defined by it. Yoga Asana practice gives us the opportunity to become aware of the body and the life force within the body, helping us to experience that we are not the body but rather the eternal being within the body who needs fulfillment on a level that the body cannot satisfy. This experience can then lead us to the deeper yoga practices, which are centered around meditation (the heart of yoga) and spiritual inquiry about our eternal identity and purpose.
