After a period, we'll start with a warm-up trust building activity, then active team game, and end with a thinking challenge. Spanglish starts during the 30 minute check in: Get to know the other Spanglishers – about half of the attendees at every event are new! No need to worry about making mistakes – the person sitting across from you is in the same boat! You converse for 5 minutes in english, 5 in Spanish – and then move on to a new conversation partner. By the second rotation we promise you’ll be having so much fun you’ll forget you’re learning. What do we talk about at Spanglish?: Whatever you want! There are no set topics. We talk about everything from our favorite superheroes to our favorite restaurants – it’s the best way to practice another language – hanging out in a relaxing environment and talking about stuff you know and like! Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
