Students, working-holiday, tourists, local peoples...does not matter where you are from. The whole point is to have a good time !

Outside basketball court in David Lam Park

→Beginners are welcome ! Important thing is that you have fun !

→New to Vancouver ? It's a friendly atmosphere here, so make new friends to have a good start in this city !

【Safety Guide 】
・It can be cold. Wear something warm. We take no responsibility for catching a cold.
・The ground can be slippery, so play safe. No aggressive play. We take no responsibility for injuries.
・Trim your nail
・Remove your watch and earrings during the games
・Take your phone out of your pocket (phone might fall from your pocket and break)
・Bring water or something to drink
・wear proper foot ware including socks

・寒いので厚着をしてきてください。風邪を引いても責任は負えません...
・濡れた地面が完全に乾かず地面が滑りやすいかもしれません。激しいドリブルなどアグレッシブなプレイは避けましょう。怪我をしても責任は負えません...
・爪は短く切っておいてください
・腕時計とイヤリングは外してください
・スマホをポケットから出してプレイしてください (落ちて割れます)
・飲料をお持ちください
・怪我防止のため適切な靴と靴下でお越し下さい

Starting a new language can be scary😌 — but you don’t have to do it alone🤗✨.

This WASABI BASIC event is made exactly for people who are just starting out.

You don’t need to know any grammar, words, or characters yet.

If you’ve ever thought:
・I only know arigatou…
・I can’t read Japanese letters…
・I want to speak but don’t know how…

then you’ll feel right at home here.

At WASABI BASIC, you’ll receive a simple worksheet that helps you:
-learn new words and basic phrases
-recognize and practice Japanese characters
-try your first conversations

WASABIの言語交換の日本語-英語の言語交換イベントBASICにようこそ！

このイベントはどんな人向け？

・新しい友達を作りたい人
・英語初心者
・友だちを作るだけじゃなくて、同時に、英語を伸ばしたい人

WASABIでは、ワークシートを用意しています。毎回違う会話トピックがあるため、自己紹介だけして終わりというミートアップあるあるも少なめです。また、毎回新しい単語・便利な表現・文法を載せているので、友達を作りながら自然と新しい表現の勉強になったりもします！

日本語をゼロから学びたいカナダの人も参加しているので、「教え合いながら覚える」雰囲気があります。

主催者は英語指導歴10年以上。各テーブルを回って丁寧にサポートしているので、英語初心者の方でも安心してご参加いただけます。

ワークシートは1枚につき約1時間かけて丁寧に作成しています。これまでに270枚以上のワークシートを作ってきました。「友達作りの補助輪」「勉強になる」と定評を頂いています。
