XR Tokyo is a meetup based community aiming to connect start-ups, developers, creators and enthusiasts in the various disciplines of spatial computing (VR, AR and MR) with the goal of helping to share knowledge, inspire new ideas and bring people together to collaborate on potential new and exciting projects.
With our core interests in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR), this is an exciting time for the field of Spatial Computing as continues to become greatly more accessible and known thanks to the likes of the affordable Meta Quest headsets and the more premium Apple Vision Pro. As it continues to break in to the mainstream, the opportunities to bring new ideas in to the space are more than ever. This is something we are looking forward to exploring greatly with you all through the XR Nights community.
Originally established in 2017 under the name VR Hub Tokyo and later XR Nights, the meetup and community has entered a new chapter in 2025 where we're looking to grow and better enable our community. Why not come to an event and check out what we're all about?

We’re back with a special event at the TOKYO NODE LAB in Toranamon Hills, and this event is all about the Spatial Realities with XR & AI. We have some great talks lined up, including from Degly Pava (STYLY / LucidDreams SAS) on XR Glasses: The Spatial Future and another exciting speaker (to be announced shortly) who is fusing spatial with AI. Not only that, we have a unique chance to experience for yourself the TOKYO NODE LAB’s 3D volumetric capture studio that has been used to enable experiences such as their recent collaboration with the LA Dodgers.
This event has been made possible as proud community partners of the TOKYO NODE “XR Hackathon” powered by Niantic Spatial. An excellent Urban XR/AI hackathon they are running in this space over the summer.
About Our Speakers
With his talk “XR Glasses: The Spatial Future”, we welcome guest speaker Degly Pava (@deglypava), an Extended Reality Specialist with years of experience (STYLY and LucidDreams S.A.S.). He will be sharing his professional insight in to the current headsets available on the market; the types on offer across VR, AR & MR and the use cases they enable; as well as where the future is set to take us; and a spotlight on Japan’s XR ecosystem with some of the big names and startups in the space.We also have another speaker who is working with AI and spacial technologies who we will be announcing later this week.
Hands-On XR Demos
One of the most exciting demos we’ve been able to show, attendees will have the chance to demo TOKYO NODE LAB's amazing volumetric capture studio, that runs in close to real-time putting you in full 3D on a virtual set. You’ll have the chance to step in and experience yourself within the space.We’ll also have other demos setup during the event to get hands on with. More details to be announced soon.

Degly Pava (@deglypava)
“I’m Degly Sebastián Pava Pava—call me デグリ—a Colombian-born XR developer and manager based in Tokyo. At STYLY I mainly lead Innovative and Global Development, taking spatial-computing prototypes from sketch to polished release while coordinating teams across APAC, Europe, and Latin America. With a master’s in immersive media from Europe and fluency in Spanish, English, and business-level Japanese, I specialize in human-centric interfaces, intuitive tracking, and large-scale AR activations. My mission is to build inclusive, developer-friendly ecosystems that turn bold XR ideas into real-world impact with the latest technologies.”------

体験型XRデモ
今回の目玉とも言える体験型デモでは、TOKYO NODE LABの高精度ボリュメトリックキャプチャスタジオを使用。リアルタイムに近い形で3D化され、バーチャルセット上に自分自身が出現するという、他にはない体験が可能です。その他の体験型デモもイベント内で展開予定です。詳細は追ってお知らせします。

デグリ / Degly Pava（@deglypava）
コロンビア出身で現在は東京を拠点に活動するXR開発者・マネージャー。STYLYでは主にグローバル展開およびイノベーション開発をリードし、空間コンピューティングのプロトタイプを構想から完成まで導くと共に、APAC・欧州・中南米のチームを横断的に統括。ヨーロッパの大学でイマーシブメディアの修士号を取得し、スペイン語・英語・ビジネスレベルの日本語を操るトライリンガル。人間中心のインターフェース、直感的なトラッキング、大規模なAR施策を専門とし、最新技術でXRのビジョンを現実にする包括的で開発者に優しいエコシステムの構築を目指している。
