第5回古めの建もの愛好会 The 5th Meetup for lovers of old-ish architecture

5回目のMeetupです。今回は明治生命館を一緒に見学した後、近くの三菱一号館美術館Café1894に移動します。1934年竣工の明治生命館は日本で建てられた最後期の大規模西洋建築で、その意味で日本の西洋建築の到達点であると言えるかもしれません。三菱一号館美術館Café1894は明治時代当時の銀行営業室を復元したカフェです。短い時間ですが、好きな建築や街並みについて気軽に話しましょう。

参加費・入館料は無料、カフェでご自分の注文分だけご負担ください。途中参加・途中退席OKです。明治生命館を出る際にはMeetupのイベントページでお知らせするので、途中参加の方はご確認の上合流してください。

Here is the fifth meetup for old-ish architecture lovers! This time we will visit Meiji Seimei-kan, and then The Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum’s Café 1894. Meiji Seimei-kan (built in 1934) was one of the last Western-style buildings in Japan just before the modernism as well as the nationalism styles prevailed. The Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum's Café 1894 is a restored room of a bank in Meiji era. We look forward to welcoming you for this small historical tour!

Participation is free of charge, but please pay for food & drinks you order. When you join later than 6:30pm, please look at this event page. I will leave a message when we move to the cafe.
