Korean Black Day (Single's Day)

Come learn about and celebrate April 14th the Korean way! In Korea, the 14th of every month is some kind of couple holiday. But April 14th is the opposite as it is Single's Day. On that day, single people will eat Jjajangmyeon (짜장면) (Noodles with Black Bean Sauce) and hang out together. And they might meet someone! Single's Day is also knows as Black Day, in contrast to White Day which was March 14th.

At JS Brewery we make a Makgeolli (Korean Rice Wine) made from Black Rice. It is the perfect way to celebrate Black Day!
