Enjoy English conversation and international exchange while experiencing Japanese history and nature as you stroll through the grounds of the Imperial Palace and the ruins of Edo Castle.

The tour will take you on a stroll through the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, the former site of Edo Castle, located within the Imperial Palace. The East Gardens of the Imperial Palace are the gardens attached to the Imperial Palace, which were developed from the Honmaru, Ninomaru, and Sanomaru sections of the former Edo Castle in the eastern area of the Imperial Palace, and boast an area of approximately 210,000 m2.

In the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, visitors can enjoy the changes of the seasons and flowers while experiencing the rich and historic nature and history of the Imperial Palace. The park is beautifully landscaped with diverse trees, plants, and flowers.

First, enjoy English conversation and international exchange at the café, and deepen your friendships in a relaxed atmosphere.

After departing from the café, the tour will enter the Imperial Palace through the Otemon Gate and visit the Hyakuninbanjo, Ninomaru Garden, Tenshukudai, Momoharakudo, and Fujimi-yagura, and exit through Hirakawa Gate.

There will also be time for a free talk with a break along the way.

We hold many international exchange events every day. It is a great environment to make new friends, so everyone is welcome to join us.

📍Hirakawa Gate
This gate served as the rear entrance to Edo Castle. Historically known as the “Impure Gate” because it was also used for the entry and exit of criminals, it now stands as a quiet, serene structure.
↓
📍 Tenshudai
The base where Edo Castle's main keep once stood. While the keep no longer exists, the stone walls offer panoramic views of the Imperial Palace grounds and Tokyo's cityscape.

📍 Fujimi Yagura
One of the few surviving turrets within Edo Castle. It was named because Mount Fuji could be seen from here during the Edo period. Its impressive white walls and roof are characteristic features.

📍 Hyakunin Banjo
The site of the headquarters for the “Hyakunin-gumi,” the group responsible for guarding Edo Castle. The original buildings remain intact, making this a place where you can feel the presence of the samurai.

📍 Ninomaru Garden
A Japanese garden recreating an Edo-period landscape. Featuring seasonal flowers, a pond, and a stone bridge, it offers tranquility and natural beauty.

📍 Otemon Gate (4:50 PM)
The main gate to the East Gardens of the Imperial Palace, it was once the most prestigious entrance as the main gate of Edo Castle. Its imposing stone walls and gate structure convey the weight of history.
We will disband after exiting the gate, and participants are free to explore on their own.

📍 ENGLISH ONLY CAFE (5:10 PM–)
You can join the international meetups at the café.

🌇 Important Notice
- This is not a guided tour, so no guide will be provided.
- Please arrive at the cafe by 3:00 PM at the latest.
- Please pay 500 yen upfront. When you return to the cafe after the walk, order your drink. * If the drink costs more than ¥500, you will be asked to pay the difference.
- If you do not order a drink, a participation fee of ¥500 will be charged.
- After the walk concludes, you are welcome to continue participating in meetups at the cafe.
- You may enjoy meetups until 11:00 PM at no additional charge.
- Joining midway after departure is not permitted.
- You cannot register for this event upon arrival at the cafe on the day.
- After departure, we will not return to the cafe; the event will conclude at the destination.
- If severe weather or other conditions make departure difficult, you may remain at the cafe and enjoy the social gathering until its conclusion.
- Canceled if fewer than three participants.
- Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking.
- You may not bring bicycles to the event.
- If you wish to leave the group early, please inform the organizer. We will direct you to the nearest station.

皇居や江戸城跡を散策しながら、日本の歴史と自然を体験しつつ、国際交流を楽しみませんか。

ツアーでは、皇居の中にある江戸城跡の皇居東御苑を散策します。皇居東御苑は、皇居東地区の旧江戸城本丸、二の丸および三の丸の一部を整備した皇居附属庭園で、約21万㎡の広さを誇ります。

皇居東御苑では、皇居の歴史ある豊かな自然や歴史を感じながら、四季折々の変化や花々を楽しむことができます。園内には、多様な樹木や草花が配置されており、美しい景観が広がっています。

まずはカフェで英会話や国際交流を楽しみながら、和やかな雰囲気の中で親睦を深めましょう。

ツアーはカフェを出発後、大手門から皇居に入り、二の丸庭園、百人番所、富士見櫓、天守台などを巡り、平川門から出ます。

また、途中で休憩を兼ねたフリートークの時間も設けています。

📍 平川門
江戸城の裏門にあたり、罪人の出入りにも使われたことから「不浄門」とも呼ばれた歴史があります。今は静かな佇まいの門です。
↓
📍 天守台
かつて江戸城の天守閣が建っていた台座部分。現在は天守はありませんが、石垣の上からは皇居内や東京の街並みを一望できます。
↓
📍 富士見櫓
江戸城内に現存する数少ない櫓のひとつで、江戸時代にはここから富士山が見えたことからその名がつきました。立派な白壁と屋根が特徴です。

📍 百人番所
江戸城内の警備を担当していた“百人組”の詰所跡。当時の建物がそのまま残っており、武士の存在を感じられる場所です。

📍 二の丸庭園
江戸時代の庭園を再現した日本庭園。四季折々の草花や池、石橋があり、自然の美しさと静けさを楽しめます。

📍 大手門 (4:50 PM)
皇居東御苑の正門で、かつて江戸城の正門として最も格式の高い出入り口でした。重厚な石垣と門構えが歴史の重みを感じさせます。

- 遅くとも午後3時までにお越しください。
- 最初に500円をお支払いいただき、ウォーキング終了後にカフェへ戻った際にドリンクをご注文ください。

- ドリンクのご注文がない場合は、参加費として500円を頂戴いたします。
- ウォーキング終了後は、カフェにて引き続き交流会にご参加いただけます。
