After leaving the café, weâll first visit Kanda Sudacho, a historic neighborhood where the charm of old Tokyo and the spirit of the Edo period still remain.
Explore long-established soba restaurants, traditional Japanese sweet shops, and historic buildings while enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere of old Tokyo!
Next, weâll travel from Akihabara Station to Iriya Station and visit Otori Shrine, the main venue of the Tori no Ichi festival.
Tori no Ichi is a traditional Japanese festival dating back to the Edo period, held on designated rooster days in November. It is a beloved seasonal tradition in Tokyo, attracting people who pray for business prosperity, good fortune, and happiness in the coming year. ð®âš
Stroll through the shrine grounds filled with colorful and beautifully decorated lucky rakes called kumade. These traditional charms are believed to ârake inâ good fortune, prosperity, and success. Youâll see rakes of all sizes, adorned with elaborate decorations that make them fascinating examples of Japanese festival culture.
The festivalâs many food stalls are another major attraction! ð® Enjoy delicious Japanese street food while soaking up the lively atmosphere, with glowing lanterns, energetic vendor calls, and traditional hand-clapping rituals.
Immerse yourself in the spirit of old Edo and experience the vibrant energy of an authentic Japanese festival! ðâšð
ð Everyone Is Welcome!
Whether you love Japanese culture and traditional festivals, enjoy exploring street food stalls, or want to make new Japanese and international friends, youâre welcome to join us!
