ABOUT THIS EVENT / ã€ãã³ãã«ã€ããŠ
Still hot in Tokyo in September? Let's escape the heat and spend the day in the cool mountain forests of western Tokyo! ð²ð§
While Tokyo can still be hot and humid in early September, the forests of Mt. MitÅ offer a refreshing mountain escape, with cool streams, waterfalls, deep beech forests, and mountain air.
Join us for a full-day mountain adventure in Hinohara, following mountain streams to MitÅ Great Waterfall, climbing through deep forest, crossing the ridgeline, and reaching the three peaks of Mt. MitÅ (1,531 m).
COOL STREAM â WATERFALL â STEEP FOREST TRAIL â RIDGELINE â THREE PEAKS â MOUNTAIN VIEWS ð²ð§â°ïž
https://www.gotokyo.org/en/spot/527/index.html
We'll begin at Hinohara Tokyo Citizen's Forest and walk through the forest to MitÅ Great Waterfall. From there, the route becomes more adventurous as we follow the mountain stream and climb the Ishiyama Trail toward Mt. Åsawa and Mushi-kari Pass.
We'll then reach Mt. MitÅ and explore its three summit peaks â East Peak, Central Peak, and West Peak â before descending through a different forest trail toward Sakaiguchi Pass.
Along the way, we'll experience rushing streams, a beautiful waterfall, mossy forest, beech trees, steep mountain trails, ridgelines, and mountain scenery.
This is not just a hike to reach a summit. It's a chance to escape the heat, cool down beside mountain streams, explore a beautiful forest, challenge ourselves on the trails, meet new people, and experience a completely different side of Tokyo.
Whether you're an experienced hiker, relatively new to hiking, new to Tokyo, visiting Japan, or simply looking for a refreshing summer adventure, you're very welcome to join us!

ð¡ïž A COOL ESCAPE FROM TOKYO / æ±äº¬ã®æãããéããã
Mt. MitÅ rises from around 1,000 m to 1,531 m above sea level and is surrounded by dense forest and mountain streams.
The elevation, shade, and flowing water create a much cooler environment than central Tokyo â making this an ideal late-summer escape.
