Learn how to wear a kimono or yukata, and how to dance to the sound of well-known traditional Japanese folk songs (or famous summer festival songs).

*Workshop Location:
Sasazuka Kumin Kaikan (笹塚区民会館), 4th floor. (3-1-9, Sasazuka, Shibuya, Tokyo)
This community hall is an 8-minute walk from Sasazuka Station on the Keio Line and Keio New Line

*Time:
Door opens at 14:15

*Workshop:

1- Starting at 14:30:
Learn how to wear a yukata
*We will lend you a yukata (summer kimono) and all the necessary accessories.
(You only need to bring a t-shirt to wear under.)

2- Starting at 15:30:
Learn how to dance 'Donpan Bushi' and 'Tokyo Ondo', two popular songs often danced at summer festivals.

  • The workshop will be in English and in Japanese.
  • Participation fee: ¥3000.
  • Maud Archambault will be leading the workshops on that day.
