Location changed to the nearby Urban Family Brewing. There is a large event going on at the other brewery so it will be hard to find each other there.

I attended a meetup for millennials last week and it was fun to talk about childhood tv shows and life experiences with folks who sort of understood what life was like back then. Hoping to meet up with more Gen Y/millennials for drinks and socializing.

Also. I am a fan of the breweries in Ballard. Specifically I like Lucky Envelope Brewings Japanese Dry Lager. There's also another great brewery, Urban Family, with lots of great fruit sour beers. Also nearby are Rueben's, Stoup, and others. This is a chance to do a good ol'fashion beer crawl! There are lots of food truck options in the area as well.

We’ll gather a small group for a relaxed walk, where you’ll pair off with a different walking partner every 20–30 minutes. This way, you’ll have a chance to connect more deeply with a few people — minus the overwhelm.

As your event host, Don may offer icebreaker activities and/or a casual conversation prompt to help spark discussion (but it’s flexible, so chats can flow naturally).

Event Timeline:
• 10:15: This is when you should plan to arrive at Green Lake to allow yourself time for parking and walking to the meetup spot
• 10:30–10:45: Arrival, welcome, and pairing. (Please be on-time to participate; late arrivals cannot be accommodated.)
• 10:45–11:45: Walking + partner rotations
• 11:45–12:00: Wrap-up and casual mingling and/or icebreaker activity

Event Details:

• When: Saturday, May 9, 2026
• Time: 10:30am–Noon Pacific
• Where: Green Lake Park (On May 7, confirmed attendees will be notified via direct Meetup message of where exactly we'll meet in this legendary — and huge — Seattle park)
• What to bring: Dress for the weather (rain or shine), wear comfortable walking shoes, and consider bringing water with you to stay hydrated while you walk and talk!
• In order to participate, please be sure your Meetup profile picture shows your face clearly (no sunglasses, silhouette shots, Bitmojis/renderings, or anything obscuring your face); profiles that do not have a clear face picture will be removed from the RSVP list. Thank you!
• This event is designed to be an analog/IRL experience where you can connect with people face to face.
