＝About us＝
“noranolism” is ensemble of Tokyo University of the Arts graduates, specializing in Japanese Koto, classical singing, and violin. We blend Japanese and Western music traditions to create a unique sound. Embracing the spirit of the “nora (= wild / independent)” musician, the challenge conventions and explore the limits of their instruments.

We held concerts where people could enjoy the beauty of each instrument up close. In summer 2024, we went on a performance tour, playing at cafes in Tokyo’s downtown. We also performed at temples and held outdoor concerts in parks.

＝Our Passion＝
We are particularly dedicated to showcasing the works of Michio Miyagi, a legendary figure in the world of koto music. Active around 100 years ago, he was a groundbreaking koto performer and composer who sought to blend Japanese instruments with Western music in a rapidly Westernizing Japan. Our aim is to embody and reinterpret his captivating works, creating a new, contemporary culture inspired by his legacy.

＝About This Concert＝
We will hold a concert in Kita-Urawa, Saitama.

The venue is “Mametank,” a small free space in a quiet residential area.
It was once the studio of Eizaburo Negishi, an inventor　of spinning machines in the early 20th century,　and today it serves as a place for community events.

Inspired by figures like Michio Miyagi and Negishi from 100 years ago, we will present a fusion of Japanese and Western music.

The Sea in Spring：A famous New Year’s piece and one of the most well-known works by Michio Miyagi.
Moon over the Ruined Castle：A song from the time when Japan began to modernize
Hymne à l’amour：A classic French chanson from the early 20th century.

…and about 10 pieces in total.

「のらノりずむ」は、東京藝術大学の卒業生による3人組ユニットです。箏・ヴァイオリン・声楽を専門とし、日本と西洋の音楽伝統を融合させたユニークな音楽を作り出しています。「野良（=自由 / 独立）」の精神を大切にし、既存の概念にとらわれず、それぞれの楽器の可能性を追求しています。

私たちは、各楽器の魅力を間近で楽しんでいただけるコンサートを定期的に開催しています。2024年夏には、東京の下町にあるカフェで演奏ツアーを行い、お寺や公園での演奏も行いました。

＝私たちの想い＝
私たちは、箏の世界で伝説的な存在である宮城道雄の作品に特に力を入れています。彼は箏曲家＆作曲家として約100年前に活躍したレジェンドで、日本が西洋化していく中で、日本の楽器と西洋音楽の融合を目指しました。
私たちは、彼の魅力的な作品を体現し、再解釈することで、彼の遺産からインスピレーションを得た新しい現代の文化を生み出すことを目指しています。
私たちは、伝統的でありながら新しい日本音楽を世界中の人々に届けたいと考えています！

＝今回の演奏会について＝
埼玉県・北浦和にて演奏会を行います！
住宅地に佇むフリースペース「まめたんく」20世紀前半に、紡績機の発明家として活躍した根岸栄三郎の研究室で現在はゆるやかなつながりの場としてイベントが行われています。
宮城道雄と根岸栄三郎、100年前の発明家たちに思いを馳せながらみなさまに和洋折衷の音楽をお届けします。

演奏予定曲
＊春の海：お正月のあの曲...宮城道雄の代表曲です。
＊荒城の月：瀧廉太郎作曲、宮城道雄編曲ver.
＊愛の讃歌：20世紀前半にフランスで生まれたシャンソンの名歌
他、10曲程度演奏します。
