Calligraphy Club ~ Ink marks are four-dimensional shadows!
〔概要〕
「書の倶楽部」は、イサオビルで筆墨に親しむ集いとして回を重ねています。
筆墨に親しむとは凡そ書道や水墨画に取り組むということです。
参加者は、硯の上に水を垂らし、墨を磨ることから始めます。
それから、墨汁を筆に含ませて、銘々紙の上に走らせる。
思いままに言葉や形象を描くのですが、やはりお手本はあった方が良いですね。
日中の古典から近代の奇筆まで―そういったものが掲載された図録をたくさん揃えてます。
先ず音楽を聴くように、先人の劇蹟に心を動かされる。
それから筆を運んでみませんか。
他は全く縛りのないオープンな集いです。

〔参加費〕1,500円（含む書道用品一式貸出）
※手ぶらで参加できます。筆や硯など持参も歓迎。
[Overview]
"The Calligraphy Club" is a gathering held at the Isao Building to familiarize oneself with brush and ink.
Familiarizing oneself with brush and ink generally means engaging in calligraphy or ink painting.
Participants begin by adding water to the inkstone and grinding the ink.
Then, they dip their brushes in the ink and move it across their individual sheets of paper.
While they freely draw words and images, it's certainly helpful to have a model to follow.
We have a large collection of catalogs featuring works ranging from classical Japanese and Chinese calligraphy to modern, unique brushwork.
First, let yourself be moved by the dramatic works of our predecessors, much like listening to music.
Then, why not try your hand at brushwork?
Otherwise, it's an open gathering with no restrictions whatsoever.

*Participants are free to come and go within the above time frame.

5-minute walk from Exits 22 and 23 of Honmachi Station on the Chuo Subway Line, and Exit 2 of Yotsubashi Station on the Yotsubashi Subway Line, and 10-minute walk from Shinsaibashi.
[Participation Fee] 1,500 yen (includes rental of a complete set of calligraphy supplies)
*You can participate empty-handed. Bringing your own brushes, inkstones, etc. is also welcome.
