Join us for a peaceful and scenic walk to Hōzan-ji Temple, a Buddhist temple nestled on the forested slopes of Mount Ikoma, right on the border of Osaka and Nara.
We’ll meet at Ikoma Station before riding the fun (dog or cat) themed! Ikoma Cable Car - Japan’s oldest cable car line - up the mountain. From there, we’ll follow the stairs up towards Hōzan-ji, passing small shrines, and traditional buildings surrounded by nature.
After spending time at the temple and enjoying the quiet mountain atmosphere, we’ll stop briefly for lunch and walk back down the stairs on foot (instead of getting the cable car back down) toward Ikoma Station.
This is a gentle, social walk at a comfortable pace, with time to explore, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings.

大阪と奈良の県境、生駒山の森に囲まれた場所にある仏教寺院 宝山寺（ほうざんじ） まで、静かで景色の良いお散歩に参加しませんか？
当日は 生駒駅 に集合し、犬や猫をテーマにした可愛らしい車両で知られる 生駒ケーブルカー（日本最古のケーブルカー） に乗って山を登ります。到着後は、自然に囲まれた小さな祠や歴史ある建物を眺めながら、宝山寺へ続く階段を歩いて向かいます。
参拝や散策を楽しんだあとは、帰りはケーブルカーを使わず、階段を歩いて下山し、生駒駅方面へ戻ります。山の静かな雰囲気を感じながら、ゆったりとしたペースで進みます。
無理のないペースの、交流を楽しめるウォーキングイベントです。写真撮影や周辺散策の時間もたっぷり取ります。
