If you’ve been thinking about building AI apps in .NET, this is your chance to just do it. Code alongside Chris Gomez in this hands-on-lab as we build an AI-powered pizza ordering bot from scratch using C#. We’re taking Microsoft’s Contoso PizzaBot workshop (originally in Python) and bringing it into the .NET world, using the tools and patterns you already know.

We’ll start simple then keep layering in capabilities to show how everything fits together. Using Microsoft Foundry, we’ll define our agent, shape its behavior, and connect it to real data so it can answer questions accurately. Finally, we’ll introduce more complex features like calling a pizza calculator, looking up menu items, and even placing orders through an MCP server.

💻 Bring a laptop with the .NET 10 SDK, an Azure subscription, and VS Code. You’ll leave with something real (and pretty fun) working end-to-end.
